1. INTERPRETATION AND VARIATION

1.1  In the Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:
“Company” means MarikoYoga. “Studio User” means any person who has signed up for lessons, sessions or workshops with MarikoYoga. Studio users are required to have read the Terms & Conditions before committing to a class, session or workshop.
“Booking Registration Form” means the Booking Form signed by each studio user
“Studio” means any of the locations, Yoga Studios or Clinics where the Company practices. “Website” means www.marikoyoga.com

1.2  The Company reserves the right to vary or revoke any of the Terms and Conditions from time to time which it may consider necessary or suitable for the regulation of the governance of the Studio and the conduct of studio users. Any such changes will be published on our websites and, until revoked, are binding on studio users.

1.3  The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2. STUDIO USER

2.1  Subject to condition 2.2, when a person has signed a Booking Form they are assumed to have read the accompanying Terms & Conditions and therefore they agree to abide by the rules and regulations the Company has put in place.

2.2  Acceptance of a person as a studio user is at the discretion of the Company.

2.3  The Company reserves the right to suspend or refuse admittance any studio user whose conduct is, or may deemed to be in the Company’s reasonable opinion, injurious to the character of the Studio or amounts to a breach of the Terms & Conditions or where such expulsion is otherwise to be in the interests of the other studio users. Any studio user expelled shall not be entitled to any refund for any yoga sessions, classes or workshops booked.

3. STUDIO OPENING TIMES

Yoga sessions, classes and workshop times at the Studio(s) may vary from time to time and are published on our Website.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

4.1  Fees for yoga sessions, classes and workshops are available on our website or from the Company directly. The Company reserves the right to change fees from time to time.

4.2  Subject to any statutory right of cancellation, payments for yoga sessions, classes or workshops are made non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the Terms and Conditions.

4.3  Retreats and special health programmes in the UK and overseas are non refundable. They can be credited if notice is given with a minimum of 7 days prior to the programme date due to unforeseen circumstances. Deposits however are non-refundable. 

5. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

5.1 Personal belongings are brought into the Studio premises at the studio users risk and the Company does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatever to such items. For security reasons studio users are advised to take personal belongings and valuables into the studio and not leave them in any changing rooms.

6. BOOKINGS 

6.1 All bookings must be made in writing by emailing info@marikoyoga.com 

7. CANCELLATIONS

7.1 Cancellations can be made up to 36 hours before the scheduled time, otherwise there will be a full charge. They must be made in writing by emailing info@marikoyoga.com 

7.2 A ‘No Show’ (Failure to turn up for a class at all without prior cancellation) will incur a 100% charge.

8. USE OF FACILITIES

8.1  Studio users are expected to respect the studio premises, equipment and facilities at all times.

8.2  Children under the age of 16 may only use the Studio and attend classes if accompanied by an adult and when under their care and supervision, however the Studio reserves the right of refusal for any minor to practice according to clause.

9. FITNESS AND HEALTH

9.1  Although the practice of Yoga can benefit your health and wellbeing, it can also be both physical and strenuous. Before participating in any activity of this nature, you should seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner and you acknowledge and confirm that you are medically fit to participate in the training and activity to be conducted by the Company.

9.2  The Studio reserves the right to refuse access to any studio user if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.

9.3  Studio users with the following conditions should not attend class: low/high blood pressure and cardiac irregularities. If there is any doubt, they should consult their doctor. Studio users must notify the Company of any circumstances affecting their health, which may be exacerbated through continued use of the Studio.

9.4  Studio users are required to follow the instructions of the teacher at all times.

10. DRESS & FOOTWEAR

10.1 Studio users are requested to wear appropriate sportswear for Yoga practise. Footwear should be removed on entry to the premises.

11. SAFETY & HYGIENE

11.1  Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.

11.2  No crockery, glass or food is permitted in changing rooms or studio. Only water is permitted in the Studio. No pets (unless guide dogs) are permitted on the premise or grounds. Do not walk around the Studio, changing rooms or showers barefoot (please wear flipflops) if you have foot complaints. Studio users must use the appointed entrance to the Studio when entering or leaving. Fire exits, which are clearly marked, are there in the interests of safety and studio users must not interfere with these doors for any reason.

11.3  Studio users are required to use a suitable towel to cover borrowed yoga mats in the studio or alternatively purchase or bring their own mat to practice.

11.4  In the event of a fire, studio users are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.
